“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.†– Goethe
You should find the film in the box on the right (you can click on Google bottom right of the box to go to a bigger screen version). It’s totally free and 2 hours long. So plan the watching of it for when you have some time to spare, get a cuppa or maybe a glass of wine, and be prepared to be shocked. It will probably indeed be the most shocking – and, other words come to mind – heart-wrenching? motivating? eye-opening? film you will see for a long time. And it’s not fiction…
The subject: MONEY and the Social System – and how we’ve been unwittingly, but well and truly, duped.
I do send a link to the ZA out on my email list so some of you may have come across this, or even watched it before. But either way, here are some facts and statements from the film – I won’t give too much away, in case you have yet to watch it, just enough to give you a gist, and I won’t tell you the ending either, which is a great poignant bit.
“If there were no debts in our money system, there wouldn’t be any money… Every single dollar in your wallet is owed to someone by someone, for the only way money can come into existence is through loans. Therefore if everyone was able to pay off all debts, including governments, there would not be a dollar in circulation.†– Marrier Eccles, Gov. Of Federal Reserve, 30/09/1941
Now you can probably see why this film will help you understand money like you’ve never understood it before. Read on…

Two amazing visionaries are featured in the film: Jiddu Krishnamurti who is one of the absolute best spiritual teachers for our modern (hmm, that’s debatable – the word modern!) times.
And Jacques Fresco, who I came across a while back when I looked at what the Venus Project is doing.
Jacques Fresco is in my view one of the greatest visionaries today. As Mr Fresco says: “If people have access to the necessities of life, without servitude and debt, they behave very differently.â€
I am so excited by this vision, it is just genius. Here’s what they envision and believe we can achieve:
• A resource-based, not money-based society
• Free non-polluting solar, wind, tidal and unlimited geo-thermal energy
• Magnetic transport (Washington DC to Beijing in 2 years)
• No pollution
• The doing away of certain irrelevant professions (stockbroking, banking , advertising)
• No money (with different incentives arising)
• Enough education
• Enough healthcare
• Enough to eat and drink for all
• No laws (rather there would be solutions for the problems in the first place)
• Machine automation freeing people from drudgery (90% of jobs could become obsolete
• World unification for the good of all
• And more
All of this is said to be possible, except for one thing: the paralysing profit structure that keeps people enslaved.
The Venus Project is one of those OMG! things. Friends, this is a vision of how life and society could be….
But this is the problem:
Here are some facts and statements from the Zeitgeist Addendum, to whet – but hopefully not spoil – your appetite:
Population Statistics:1% of the population owns 40% of the planets’ wealth.
50% of the population lives on less than $2 a day.
Money & Debt (General):
Money is debt and debt is money. When there is more money, there is more debt.
Money can only be created out of loans and as such society can never be debt free.
Inflation = a hidden tax on the public.
Interest – The money to pay interest, does NOT exist.
The money that banks loan you doesn’t even legally exist in the first place.
Bankrupticies and repossessions (foreclosures) are built into the system.
Wealth goes from the individual to the banks.
Debt = invisible war against society.
Weapons to enslave and conquer society – one is by the sword, the other is by debt. It is one of the most ingenious scams for social manipulation. Economic warfare.
Financial Institutions:
Federal Reserve: As long as the Federal Reserve exists, perpetual debt is guaranteed.
IMF and World Bank = They put countries in debt, then give them more debt to pay off the debt, in exchange for privatisation of basic resources, cheaper oil, concessions, and votes by lending huge loans.
The World Bank is NOT a world Bank, but a US bank, with US interests.
From one-insider turned ‘informant’:
The goals of large corporations and financial institutions is to maximise profits regardless of the social or environmental costs.
Globalization:
Globalization is use of debt, political overthrow and bribery.
How they do this is:
• Offer large debts to country in trouble
• Devalue the currency by offering their outputs and resources cheap to other countries
• Make social cuts in key areas eg health and education
• Privatise key resources eh water, then bills go up for people
• Trade liberalisation – remove trade boundaries, so large corporations come in and local businesses can’t compete, eg Jamaican farmers are out of work as they can’t compete with foreign companies.
• Sweat shops – cheap labour
The result is: poverty increases whilst corporate profits soar.
Terrorism:
The word terrorist is an empty distinction. “The truth is there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al-Qaeda. This is propaganda from the US.†– Robin Cook, former British Foreign Secretary
“The true terrorists of our world wear $15k suits and sit at the highest positions of finance, government and business. “
If you took in what you read above you will be feeling, like me, pretty gob-smacked.
In another sense, it is what I expected in some corner of my understanding of the financial mechanics of this world. How else could so few have so much, and so many have so little? What about all those kids who die each day…thousands, from lack of basics…it is totally heart-breaking.
You know what I cannot, in one sense, fathom – it’s the darkness inside the perpetrators of this mess, the lack of conscience. But I dare say we have all been there in some lifetime or other, done that and got the t-shirt. people learn when they learn. But the cost! And what greed! And what about this – a 9-11 dossier on George Bush’s desk two days before 9-11?? The mind boggles and is stopped in its tracks from shock…Words fail me.
Anyway, this whole topic of money and world finance has caught my interest partly because of my new self-employed status and starting my own online businesses, and partly because of the fact that very similar information is coming up from many different quarters. It seems spiritual and economic news is converging in the same message: that we have been grandly duped for many years.
I believe there will be justice in due course, because I think that all gets balanced in the end. Truth, by its nature, always surfaces when the time is right, it can’t be hidden forever. That’s my wish anyway.
Let’s wake up and refuse, in our own ways, to accept such corruption and greed. One way to do this? Become more self-reliant, more community focused, reduce debt, and try and see through the lies we are fed via the media. The film gives you some ideas. Ultimately we must stop supporting the system.
BTW, if you are religious…you may not like what you see in this film. But I urge you to watch it regardless.
It really is time to change.
I leave you with one of my favourite quotes from J Krishnamurti, which was also shown in this film:
“It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.â€
